Placing the pallets and the machine The pallets are prepared on two parallel rows distant about 50 cm from each other, exploiting the length of the room as the following suggestions: at least of mt 5,6 for n. 8 pallets; mt.6,8 for n. 10; mt.8,0 for n. 12; mt. 9,20 for n. 14: mt 10,40 for n. 16;mt.11,60 for 18 (Internal measures). Minimum width mt. 3,20. Minimum height mt. 3,20.
A corridor forms among the two rows of pallets disposed as mentioned above, as long as the length of the rows of pallets. The machine is positioned to one of the two extremities of the "corridor", leaning against the pallets, leaving the suction-mouth at the center of the corridor. At the top of the machine is placed a box containing a tarp that will be unrolled for the whole length of the corridor, leaning it against the pallets and letting it to slide down until the floor. This operation will take a couple of minutes.
Now, is so created a sort of "pressurized ripening room"…. the Tornado M-CRS machine is ready to work. |
The "Tornado M-CRS" A centrifugal fan, calibrated to the dimension of the cold room and to the pallets of product to be treated, is assembled inside of each unit. Turned on the fan the air is pulled from the environment, crossing the boxes placed on the pallets and reaching the corridor; the fast flow of the air, flows inside the tunnel toward the suction-mouth creating a depression; at the same time a dynamic pressure is created inside the boxes. The air flow crosses the unit and escapes toward the exit mouth placed on the top of the machine and drived to the ceiling. A the same time, the ethylene gas generator "Ethylfast" is programmed to develop the exact dose of ethylene necessary to start the ripening process, the start up of the process is generally suggested when the temperature of the pulp reaches 15,5-16,5°C. In fact, the panel of command, placed on board of the machine or remote, is also endowed of an electronic thermostat and of a particular extensible pulp probe that is inserted inside the fruit, realizing the difference from the other common systems that limit their action controlling just the temperature of the environment
After the second or third day (second phase) the process continues lowering the temperature to 13-14°C. (Celsius) |

The System is designed to control the temperature with a difference ± 0,5°C between the pulp temperature and air one.
On application, the unit can be endowed with an heating system, complete of temperature digital regulator and probe to raise the temperature.
